0 Georgia's first trip to the dentist!

When we were in San Antonio in June, we packed in a visit to our favorite dentist and dental hygienist of all time: GRANNA AND GRANDPA! I wanted Georgia to have her first dental visit with them, Leighton was due for a checkup, and so was I. I guess the cat's out of the bag at this point, my parents are closing down the office! Granna is retiring, and Grandpa will be working at another dental office part time. So given this urgency, we got in pronto! (Their official last day is July 31!)

Of course we had no idea how Georgia was going to do...and the was awesome. At least in my opinion. I don't believe she was difficult. I am sure I am a worse patient than her.

Granna cleaned both Leighton and Georgia, and Grandpa came in to give them a once-over and make sure all was well. So sweet and cute!

While all that good cleaning was happening, Grandpa cleaned MY teeth. And guess what? Momma has FIVE cavities! I can't believe it. This has not been a huge sugar year for me. Grandpa says it's partially genetic...cavities. So what a great example I set for the girls. Now they tell everyone everywhere we go that I have five cavities. Thanks! The silver lining is that I get to go have another visit with my Dad so he can fill them all for me. (I'm sure he's thrilled...I do not have a reputation for being a good dental patient. I'm sorry in advance, Daddy!)

Leighton thinks it is so fun that she has the same name as Grandpa. She loves this sign at his office...with her name, of course.

This is what happens when Granna is given control of the camera. Ha ha! The sun was in our eyes and she counted to three for us to open our eyes, but it looks like she pulled the trigger a little early. Hilarious!

Yeah, I can see that that dress makes me look pregnant. I am NOT. Just in case anyone is shocked. I guess we had eaten lunch before this was taken. And horizontal stripes...not my friend. Anyway, I thought I should point that out. Just a food baby!

Thanks to Granna and Grandpa for keeping all of our teeth in good health. And I'm sorry that I have so many cavities. I hang my head in shame!

0 Build a Bear, you got me again!

Build a Bear is such a cute idea. We waited until last summer in Alabama to let Leighton get one though. And I understood why. Somehow, you feel as if you have been robbed when you leave that store! It is expensive! The bear alone is not so bad. But it's all the accessories that drive up the price. And of course, kids want accessories!!

However, when we were in San Antonio, I took the girls to North Star Mall, and I thought it would be fun to take them to build a bear. Summer vacation, San Antonio, you know, it's a special occasion! Leighton told me her current bear needed a friend because it was lonely. Uh huh. Both girls knew exactly which bear they wanted, so they got right to work.

Do you like all their bows? They did their own hair that morning, and I just let it roll.

I have to say, I like the scents the girls chose to put in their bears. Both got cotton candy flavor. Very sweet but not overpowering.

I told the girls they could each get ONE OUTFIT for their bear and that was it. I'm a total softy and I usually give in on things like that, but I stood firm on this one. It was tough! They tried to get more and more and more things. But we walked out with two bears and two outfits.

Woo hoo! Look at our cute bears in robes. Thank you, Mommy! You are awesome! We made a special memory on our trip to San Antonio. (I know that's what they were thinking.)

1 Hanging with baby Caleb

While we were in San Antonio, Kim, Kevin, and baby Caleb came over to my parents' house for a little BBQ and get-together with the family. Aunt Anne and Uncle Max came, as well as Matt and Brad. The girls were WAY excited to see Caleb, who is now 3 months old! They waited patiently to meet him. Leighton and Georgia sat at the front door waiting for everyone to arrive. Thankfully, the Wier family is very punctual, so they didn't have long to wait.

I also couldn't wait to get my hands on Caleb. What a cutie! He's grown so much since I held him in March right when he was born. He's a great little baby.

He was extremely patient with being passed around. Everyone wanted to hold and love on him!

Kim was SO sweet to let both girls hold him as well. They love holding babies. It always makes me so nervous! But the smiles on their faces is just too sweet. Leighton has asked several times in the past few months if I have a baby in my belly. Ha! She says she wants a baby brother. I'm thinking, no thank you! We are just enjoying all the babies being born around us!

I told Kim all about how Uncle Brad is the baby whisperer. I specifically remember him helping me when Georgia was a little baby and not sleeping at all. He stayed up with her all night so I could get some sleep. He ROCKS.

Georgia loves pretending to be a pirate. She does make a good one. So does Uncle Matt. Arrrr!

WOW!!! SO COOL!

My biggest takeaway from this photo: I needed new bras! I went the following morning and got all new bras to hold these boulders up! My apologies!

There's a picture of Grandpa! I believe this was taken in the Shark tank. It was so lovely in there. Nice and cool.

I need some photography pointers from Matt. MY pictures of the orcas and HIS pictures of the orcas are so different. His are spectacular!
